Standing Committees

Standing Committees members are made up of volunteers and are the best place to start getting involved in FACRAO. Activities of these committees range from planning annual meetings and workshops to recruiting new members. Members can join these committees freely and are appointed by an executive committee member

Local Arrangements Committee (LAC)

The committee coordinates with the Program and Executive Committees, all phases of the meetings including hotel liaison, physical space arrangements, registration, printed programs, hospitality, food service, entertainment, tours, and door prizes.

Regional Workshops

Five committees charged with putting together a low cost one-day regional program designed for support staff who usually are unable to attend the annual meeting.

Resolutions and Awards

This committee serves as the outlet for recognizing individuals and/or organizations who have made significant contributions to the Association, had long tenure in the Association, are being promoted to other responsibilities or combination of the above. The vice president for communications and technology chairs this committee.

Program Committee

This committee is responsible for recommending timely/current topics of interest and concern to the profession for the Annual Meeting; obtaining session presenters, guest speakers, and moderators. The vice president for professional development chairs this committee.

Membership Committee

This committee shall be responsible for updating communicating with the membership and reporting their feedback to the Executive Committee for follow-up. The vice president for member relations is the chair of this committee.

Evaluations Committee

This committee shall be responsible for conducting and reporting evaluations for all program sessions at the annual meeting including: the production of evaluation forms; collection and analysis of evaluation; production of summary reports per session to be distributed to session presenters and the Executive Committee.
