Grow, Serve, LeadWant to Get Involved?A great place to start is to volunteer to serve on a committee. Time commitments for committees can be as little or as much as you want to serve. There are immediate needs for volunteers for: Local Arrangements CommitteeIf you've ever wondered how FACRAO pulls of a great conference each year, this committee is how. There are roles for you if you like event planning, marketing, administrative tasks, socializing and more. Plus, as an added benefit you get a great FACRAO shirt to wear at the annual meeting! Program Committee:Conferences and mini-workshops wouldn't happen without presenters. Program committee members brainstorm program sessions and recruit presenters for mini-workshops and annual meetings. Mini-Workshop Coordinators:Once or twice a year, FACRAO hosts one-day workshops in each region of the state. If you and your institution can host a workshop, we need you! Responsibilities include workshop planning, including refreshments and presentations, as well as marketing the event. Conference/ Workshop presenters:Have a presentation you've made at another conference? Know of a great topic you'd like to present? Submit a proposal to present at a mini-workshop or annual meeting. Other volunteers:You're not limited to just these opportunities (although we do need you). FACRAO is your association. If there's something you have a passion for and would like to do to help the association, let us know!
