Author Patrick Lencioni writes that “An organization is healthy when it is whole, consistent and complete, that is, when its management, operations, and culture fit together and make sense. Successful organizations are smart & healthy.” (Lencioni, 2014) Today’s presentation will focus on the key components of organizational health. This interactive workshop will examine the current health of your organization and will explore how to effectively design meetings and cascade communications in a manner that contributes to greater clarity and employee cohesion.

Presenter Biography:

Dr. Claire Brady has served in the Florida College System for the past 10 years and a higher education professional for the past 21 years. She currently serves as the Vice President for Enrollment and Student Affairs at Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC). In addition to professional roles at LSSC, Dr. Brady has also served in Student Affairs and university teaching roles at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, Michigan State University, and Alma College.

Dr. Brady has broad leadership experience across higher education including academic advising, admissions, career services, student life, accessibility services, residential life, student conduct, Title IX, TRIO programs, and enrollment management. She also has 10 years’ experience teaching at the undergraduate level.

A native of Canada, Dr. Brady is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelors in International Relations and a Master’s degree in Education. She earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Central Florida where her research agenda examined student transitional experiences, transfer pathways between colleges and universities, and the impact of student sense of belonging.
Dr. Brady has been a member of national, regional and state level professional organizations including currently serving as the Chair Elect of the Florida Council of Student Affairs. She is an engaged member of NASPA, serving as Faculty at the New Professionals Institute and on the Community College Institute planning team. She is currently serving on the NASPA James E. Scott Academy Board and on the NASPA “Future of Student Affairs” Taskforce. Dr. Brady is also engaged in her local communities through various social, civic, and philanthropic organizations.
